4D Wealth
We consider ourselves non-traditional venture capitalists, and prefer to be seen as early stage capital partners to founders building strong and lasting businesses. We define success as more than just making money - it’s deepening human relationships, positively impacting society, and creating something novel, while generating superior financial returns over time.
Investing for this definition of success requires a disciplined mindset and approach to business building. It requires thought, intentionality, and patience. Throughout our two decades of experience investing in early-stage companies, we have noticed that founders who are patient and deliberate, and who recognize the importance of financial strength while prioritizing relationships, society, and creativity have a greater chance of building a business that withstands the test of time.
We have developed a framework around this philosophy which we call 4D Wealth ("4DW"). Inspired by some of the founders we’ve partnered with in the past, 4DW is the cornerstone of our investment strategy. In fact, the founders we invest in are inherently operating in a 4DW manner despite not being familiar with the framework. It is the foundation of both our underwriting process and our measure of success. At Crescent Ridge, we seek to create these Four Dimensions of Wealth through every investment we make:
